Racers may make one class change per season and no points will carry over to the new class when a racer upgrades or downgrades their class.
MAXXIS ESC Racing Age is the racers age on December 31, 2024
NO Racing License Required

Important Notice for Pro Racers: The Pro Class field is locked at 1:00 pm Saturday. This means no new registrations or transfers into the Pro Classes will be accepted after this time.

Racers Must start with their class and at the assigned time. If a racer misses their class starting times, they will incur a time penalty or disqualification.
Final Class Results will be posted 5 minutes after the last racer finishes in each class.
Each racer’s time and current positioning will be available as soon as they finish.
We will award medals and prizes at our tents 15 minutes after the Final Class Results have been posted.
No Reruns unless the course is closed during your race run.

RACE FEES – Include a Saturday Practice Lift Pass and a Sunday Race Lift Pass

PLEASE TAKE A PICTURE OF YOUR LIFT PASS, OTHERWISE IF YOU LOSE IT, YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A REPLACEMENT FROM SUGARLOAF

Early Bird Discounted race fees until 2 weeks before the event
Regular race fees until Wednesday midnight before the event
Onsite race fees are $10 more than Regular Race Fees

MAXXIS ESC RACE REGISTRATION REFUND POLICY

  • Refunds are available less a $20 handling fee until 14 days before the event.
  • Race entries cannot be transferred to a different event 
  • Race entries can be transferred to another person for a $20 handling fee until 7 Days Before the event

Lodging
Sugarloaf is offering Maxxis ESC races a lodging discount for Hotel rooms or condos.  (Just mention that you are coming for the ESC Race!)

The Mountain View Motel & Campground Less expensive motel and campground, approx 6 miles north

FOOD:

  • Onsite Beach Grill open for lunch and après Friday and Saturday and for breakfast on Sunday.
  • The Rack BBQ (on the access road) open 4pm-9pm
  • 45N (Hotel restaurant, open for breakfast and dinner)
  • Flagstaff General Store
  • The Bag and Kettle
  • D’ellies bakery and café
  • North in Stratton; Backstrap Grill, Coplin Dinner House (upscale) The Stratton Plaza (local dive bar)
  • South in Kingfield; Rolling Fatties and Bar (Burritos) Tufulio’s Italian Restaurant and the Woodsman(breakfast).

CAMPING –   Camping is available onsite, reservations and pre-payment is required please register HERE to reserve your camp spot, please note tents are allowed for the ESC weekend. Camping will be located in Parking Lot D, with easy access to the lift and village area. 

Friday – $45 Lift Access will be limited to registered racers, and ESC Staff only, lift ticket will be required. Lift Tickets for Friday may be Here:  (Link coming soon)

Onsite Showers: Bring your own towel, located in the fitness center. There is a nominal fee.

Local Coin Operated Showers: 6 miles north at The Mountain View Motel & Campground – 2 coin-operated showers ( 4 quarters gets you 4 minutes) they are located on the right-hand side of the Red Public Lounge, please park in the motel parking lot.

No fires allowed!
